Marisa has worked in nonprofits for over 10 years, most recently as the Chief of Staff at Lady Parts Justice League. She was the Development and Communications Manager at HIAS Pennsylvania and a long-standing member of the Board of Directors of Neighborhood Bike Works. She has also served on the Steering Committee for the New York Immigration Coalition’s Young Professional Leadership Coalition and on the Logistics Committee for the Women’s Way Young Women’s Initiative.

Marisa is a long-time bike commuter and will go on any adventure that includes swimming. She was born and raised on a dairy farm in Virginia, has a B.A. from Skidmore College, and lived in Philadelphia for over eight years before settling in Brooklyn.
